August 21-23, 2010

Wisconsin Union Theater

Andrew Lloyd Webber's Evita, winner of seven Tony Awards, is the classic rags-to-riches story of Eva Perón, a peasant girl who rises from the poverty of small-town Argentina to become the nation's iconic first lady. Arguably Webber's best score, it includes the famous showstoppers "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" and "Buenos Aires."

"Four Seasons has taken Lloyd Webber's dark musical and brought out some of its most entertaining aspects. From a grief tango when Argetines learn of their Evita's death to the final vivid moments, EVITA makes the journey from chorus girl to spiritual leader a pleasure to watch."
